Yakima Police Looking For Driver Who Killed Yakima Woman

Yakima Police are investigating a fatal hit and run reported Saturday night at the intersection of South Sixth and East Spruce streets. Spokesman Mike Bastinelli says officers were called to the intersection at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

"When we arrived we found the woman in the roadway near the curb," Bastinelli said.
The victim, who died at a Yakima hospital, has been identified as a 37-year-old Theresa Lumley of Yakima. She was found by Yakima City Council District 2 candidate Jason White who was campaigning in the area on Saturday night. He contacted police.
The driver who struck Lumley has not been found.
