Yakima Police confirm three people were shot in two separate shootings Sunday night. Officers are still investigating if the shootings are related due to the fact they occurred near the same time.

The first shooting, on the 800 Block of North First Street, started as an altercation. Officers say there was a party across the street from the crime scene and one man was hit in the stomach with a bullet.

The second shooting took place on the 400 Block of South Fourth Street, where two people were shot just after 9:30 p.m. Investigators are working on details and say it could be gang related.

The Washington State Patrol, Union Gap police and other authorities were asked to respond to the shootings for more manpower. Right now, none of the victims are facing life threatening injuries, and there is no suspect information at this time.
