Yakima Police ID Man Whose Body Was Found On Front Street

Yakima Police have identified the cities first homicide victim of the year. He was 70 year old David Lee Childs of Yakima. His body was found Tuesday morning in a parking lot on North Front Street.  Yakima County Coroner Jack Hawkins, who performed the autopsy said "Childs did not die from stab wounds, instead he died from a combination of head and neck trauma and puncture wounds."   It's unclear what caused the puncture wound - they were not from a knife or a needle.   Now that Childs has been identified Yakima Police Detecitves will search his Yakima home and hopefully they'll be able to find leads that will lead to the people responsible for the murder.
