Yakima Police Catch Drive-By Shooter
A 20-year-old man is under arrest for a drive-by shooting that sent several bullets into a home in West Valley at about 10:20 yesterday morning. It happened on the 200 block of South 62nd Avenue. Police caught the suspect on the 200 block of South 40th Avenue a short time later. Yakima police say the suspect claims he is in a gang and was targeting his a young lady at the home.
Police say four rounds struck the home with six people inside. No one was injured.
The 20-year-old suspect is sitting in the county jail today facing six counts of first-degree assault.
