Yakima Police Arrest Suspect in January Fatal Shooting

Yakima Police have arrested a suspect in last month's fatal shooting of 47-year-old Anna Hargett.

Thirty-seven-year-old Ricardo Dimas was taken into custody Wednesday outside a home on Fairbanks Avenue.

"We knew he was in the area," police spokesman Mike Bastinelli said, "and we had come close to arresting him several times in the last month."

The January shooting happened near the 1100 block of Roosevelt Avenue and left a 42-year-old woman wounded. She has since recovered from her injuries.

Dimas is being held in the Yakima County jail on a charge of second-degree murder.
