Yakima Police have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the May 23 fatal shooting of 27-year-old David Amezcua outside a Yakima store at South Sixth and Adams Streets. Randy Brewer was arrested at the King County Jail on Thursday where he was being held on unrelated charges. Brewer faces charges of first degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, drive-by shooting and unlawful gun possession. He's now being held in the Yakima County Jail. Police say Amezcua was sitting in a vehicle outside the store when he was shot. He drove a short distance after the shooting and crashed into a tree. He died at a Yakima hospital.
