Yakima firefighters and police officers remembered the 911 attacks during a ceremony at a Yakima Fire station earlier Today. Standing in front of a large American Flag at Fire Station 95 on East Nob Hill Capt. Jeff Pfaff spoke at the event. "None of us will ever forget this day. Yet we move forward to protect your safety and freedom. The safety of you. Our citizens, our cities, our communities our valley and our nation. " Pfaff says the terrorist acts were supposed to scare the nation into retreating but just the opposite happened.
The event ended with a moment of silence and a prayer from the Yakima Fire Department Chaplin Susan Whitman.
