Yakima Mavericks Football Scores on the Mike Bastinelli Show [AUDIO]

The Yakima Mavericks, a minor league league football team made up primarily of former college players, will host their home opener Saturday night against the South King County Colts. The Mavericks play their home games at Marquette Stadium, 5600 West Chestnut in Yakima. The team is 1-0 after beating the Portland Raiders on the road last week, 21-14.

Mavericks' coach Steve Davis was a guest on Friday's Mike Bastinelli show. He talked about the team, the league it plays in and the challenges of fielding a competitive minor league football team.
