Yakima city officials are moving forward to close six Asian massage parlors raided on Saturday by police after allegations of prostitution.

There were five people were in court on Monday while two others also face charges. All face charges of practicing medicine without a licenses and two of the seven are likely to face charges related to prostitution.

Yakima city codes administrator Joe Caruso says he is looking over all the information to see if the businesses can be closed.

There’s several different reasons or laws they can be closed under…one is pending charges another is falsifying a business application.

Caruso says he will make a decision soon on whether to close the businesses.

Yakima police continue to investigate and look into all avenues including sex trafficking and connection to other massage businesses in the region and on the west side of the state.
