Good news for the Yakima Greenway. The Executive Director Al Brown says the Greenway is expected to receive $2 million from the State Transportation budget to help complete a 2 mile piece of the Greenway pathway. "We're looking at completing the pathway connecting the Old Naches Highway or as I call it Suntides to 40th and Fruitvale." When the work is finished it'll complete the 10 mile extension that was made to Naches and make the Greenway 20 miles long. Brown says since the department of transportation is in charge of the money and the project there's no date yet as to when the work will begin. But Brown is hoping for the work to happen within the next two years.
