Yakima Gets New Flight In Early Evening Starts In October

If you've been reluctant to fly from the Yakima Airport to Seattle because of a lack of available flights in the evening you don't have to worry about that anymore. All year Yakima City Manager Tony O'Rourke says they've been hoping a new Alaska Airlines flight to Seattle in the afternoon would lead to another flight in the early evening. And O'Rourke tells KIT News the new flight in the evening will start in October. O'Rourke says the extra flight will eliminate long layovers, which in the past is why many chose to forgo using Yakima air services. The new flights will now be at 9:50 a.m.,  3:30 p.m., 6:20 p.m. and 11:20 p.m.
