Average retail gasoline prices in Yakima have risen two cents per gallon in the past week averaging $3.69 per gallon according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 91 gas outlets in Yakima.

This compares with the national average that has fallen 4.5 cents per gallon to $3.54 per gallon.

Yakima Prices are 32 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and eight cents lower than a month ago.

"The national average has seen some downward direction in the last week, but the best is likely yet to come," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. "While there certainly are a few issues that could impact gasoline prices on our plate, the switch over back to winter gasoline has begun, and I do expect that gas prices may continue to move downward this week for most of the United States."
