Average retail gasoline prices in Yakima have fallen 3.4 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $4.01 per gallon Sunday. This compares with the national average that has fallen 3.3 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.81 per gallon, according to gasoline price website YakimaGasPrices.com.

In Yakima, prices Sunday were 10.2 cents per gallon higher than in 2011 and 0.1 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has decreased 8.6 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 10.4 cents per gallon lower than 2011.
