It's time for another tasty fundraiser in the Yakima  Valley.

Next Wednesday, October 10th, the Yakima Fire Department will hold its 24th annual spaghetti feed at the department’s headquarters, Fire Station 91, located at 401 N. Front Street.

The Yakima Fire Department Spaghetti Feed will get underway at 4:00 pm and will run until about 7:30 pm.

Proceeds from this year’s spaghetti feed will benefit the Washington State Council of Firefighters Burn Foundation.  The foundation was founded in 1987 as a 501c3 charity to provide funding for burn research, prevention, and education; as well as care and counseling for burn victims and their families.

It is operated solely by firefighters who volunteer their time.

Events organized by firefighters, such as fun runs, golf tournaments, spaghetti feeds, etc., provide the primary funding for the foundation.
