The Yakima farmer's market is back!

Hundreds of people enjoyed the 16th annual opening day of the Yakima farmer's market Sunday on 3rd Street in downtown Yakima.

There are some new additions this year, like an espresso stand and coming soon, wine tasting.

Organizers say there were a record amount of booths for opening day Sunday. Market Manager Don Eastridge says, “we’re ready for another great year.”

The farmer's market during peak season can bring crowds as large as 6,000 people to downtown Yakima. Organizers are still debating whether to keep the Tuesday market or move it to Thursday afternoons.
