Yakima Detectives Trying To Identify Body Found In Zillah

Yakima County Sheriff's detectives are investigating the discovery of a body in a ravine off of the 3000 block of Cheyne Road in Zillah. The body was found by a hiker in the area on Thursday morning. Detectives say the degree of decomposition suggests the body had been in the area for several months. They say evidence at the scene shows the person died of homicidal violence. Authorities are now trying to make an identification comparing the remains to missing person cases in Yakima County.
