Water is still running high in some areas of Yakima County, but the director of the Yakima County Office of Emergency Management says things are getting back to normal after last week's widespread flooding.

Scott Miller tells KIT News: "The key creeks, that is the Ahtanum and Wide Hollow, they're either almost down or back within their banks."

Miller says flooding last week damaged some roads in the county. Crews are assessing the damage today.

As for the future? Miller says with a lot of snow still in the Cascades, the county will remain under flood threat for at least another month.
