The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office main building at 1822 S. 1st St in Yakima will be closed until further notice because petroleum fumes from a roof repair project are impacting employees. A press release from the office says employees that work in the building are continuing to experience unpleasant symptoms. Sheriff's officials say employees will be moving to other county buildings to work.
They will continue to answer phone calls and responding to emails as normal. County dispatch and emergency services will not be affected.
The public can go to our Zillah precinct for face to face services. The address is 715 Fountain Blvd #25.
