Yakima County Sheriff's deputies responded to a burglary in progress at the 1700 block of Campbell Rd. in Wapato at about 1130 Sunday Morning. They were told there should be no one home, since the homeowners were at Sunday church.  Upon arrival the first deputy confronted the two male suspects in the commission of the crime.  They both ran northbound from the scene.

One suspect, Anibal Arreola 27, was arrested in the back yard of a house in the 1600 block after a short foot pursuit.  He was armed with a stolen handgun from Oregon. He was also a convicted felon.

The second suspect, Eduardo Huerta 18, was captured along Higgins Rd about one mile west. He had jumped in a canal to avoid capture, prior to appearing on Higgins Rd.

Huerta had been carrying a black bag that contained stolen items from the victim home.  He was also armed with a handgun.

Both suspects were booked into the Yakima County Jail for Burglary 1st Degree and several other charges.
