Yakima County Nurse Has License Suspended

A Yakima County nurse could have his license taken away by state health officials.

Adam Archibald is a nurse who works under contract at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. He is currently suspended from practicing medicine.

State health officials say Archibald stole drugs from work and over the course of four years drugged and sexually assaulted a female patient at the hospital. He is also suspected of stealing prescription medication for personal use.

Before his suspension, Archibald worked as an anesthetist at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Until the charges are cleared, his license will remain suspended.
