If you are planning to do any business today in Yakima The City of Yakima’s City Services Center counter will close a half-hour earlier than normal on Friday, December 29th in order to allow staff to complete necessary end-of-year transaction processing procedures.

The City Services Center counter, located on the 1st floor of Yakima City Hall, will close at 4:30 pm.

Customers utilize the City Services Center for a variety of purposes.  Customers sign up for utility services, such as water, wastewater, and refuse, and pay for those services, through the Center.  Dog licenses, Yakima Transit passes, and parking permits can also be purchased through the Center.  Additionally, parking fines are processed by the Center.

“At the end of each year, several necessary procedures need to be completed by our City Services Center staff,” said Utility Services Manager James Dean.  “Closing the Center’s counter a little early on the last business day of the year allows our staff to get those tasks taken care of.  We apologize for any inconvenience our customers may experience because of the half-hour-early closure of the Center counter that will occur on December 29th,” says Dean.
