Homelessness will be the topic of a study session at Yakima City Hall on Tuesday afternoon. It's set for 3:00 p.m. The council will hear from city officials about how services in the city are helping the homeless and they'll hear about two major housing projects. The Community Service Resource Center in the former Roys Market on South 6th Street set to open in winter of 2019. And the council will hear about The Yakima Housing Authority Veterans Supportive Housing and Service Center in the former Marine Corps Reserve Armory on Tahoma Avenue in Yakima. Construction on the center is expected to be finished in spring of 2020.  The study session Tuesday starts at 3:00 p.m. at Yakima City Hall.
