Yakima City Council Tables Vote On Plaza Funding

The Yakima City Council Tuesday decided to table a vote on delaying funding for any future work at the proposed downtown plaza until new council members are elected later this year. The issue raised by city councilwoman Kathy Coffee was tabled until June 2 because the full council didn't attend Tuesday's meeting. Tom Dittmar and Rick Ensey missed Tuesday's meeting. The city council also decided not to vote on an ordinance for homeless shelters and instead pushed it back to the Yakima City Planning Commission for more review.
