The Yakima City Council took action last night on two issues that could help change the future of downtown and the former mill site along I-82. The council approved an environmental study of the former mill site and entered into a contract with an Oregon company to develop a downtown master plan to help grow the area. The combined cost of the contracts 360 thousand dollars. Funding for the studies comes from State and Federal grants.
