After 23 seasons back in Yakima, it appears that the short-season A ball club Yakima Bears will be relocating to Hillsboro, Oregon.

A 20-year lease has been offered to the team with the promise of a brand new $15 million stadium that can seat 4,500 spectators.

Bears G.M. K.L. Wombacher is on the record as saying that the Bears will accepth the offer sheet.

Yakima Mayor Micah Cawley

has been quoted as saying that the team’s apparent departure is sad “but they have to do what they have to do.”
