The home field hospitality of the Oregon State Beavers was not warm to the Washington State Cougars Saturday afternoon. Over 2,700 fans witnessed the first perfect game in Beavers history at Coleman Field in Corvallis.

OSU's freshman Drew Rasmussen, a Spokane native, put down all 27 Cougars batters, needing only 103 pitches and recording 10 strikeouts for his perfecto. The Beavers defense was also perfect in their play to help seal a 3-0 perfect game.

This is just the fourth perfect game in conference history and the first since Washington State's Joe McIntosh in 1973.

Oregon State swept the series with WSU Sunday with a 11-inning 2-1 victory.
