With the Apple Cup just a few days away, Cougar Nation is wondering about their QB, Luke Falk, who was carted out of Saturday night's game against Colorado with a head injury.

But Washington State University has not exactly been forthcoming with answers.

The Seattle Times reported today (Nov. 23) that WSU's athletic director, Bill Moos, said on his KXLY talk show that Falk suffered a concussion, but appears to be doing "real well."

Meantime, Darin Watkins, director of communication at WSU's Murrow School of Communication and the author of a new book about the 1916 Cougars' Rose Bowl team, had little to add during a Monday interview with News Talk KIT.

Asked what he knew about Falk's condition, Watkins would only say that WSU's public information office for athletics wasn't disclosing any information. Pursuant to the concussion protocols of the NCAA, Pac-12 and WSU, Watkins said, the star quarterback still must undergo a few tests before being cleared to play again.

The 20th-ranked Cougars (8-3) take on their cross-state rivals, the University of Washington Huskies (5-6), this Friday at 12:30 in Seattle in the final regular season game of 2015.
