There is a big bridal show at the convention center this weekend. It’s sponsored in part by Town Square’s newest radio station Mega 99-3. That’s the fm signal KIT has been on for the past few years. It should be a great show and feature everything the bride and groom could need—except for one thing.

If your betrothed has her heart set on the world’s most expensive diamond she’s out of luck. That rock now belongs to a 7 year old kid!

A Hong Kong businessman bought a rare, 12.03 carat blue diamond for his 7-year-old daughter for a record breaking $48.5 million Swiss francs which is a cool $67.9 million U.S. -- for a 7 year old! Hello Kitty! The price is the highest ever paid for a diamond or gem at auction.

The "Blue Moon diamond" was found at a mine in South Africa and has been graded the highest possible color quality for blue diamonds and deemed internally flawless by the Gemological Institute of America. The diamond's name from the phrase, "once in a blue moon."

It has been confirmed by The Guardian and others that it was purchased by billionaire Joseph Lau who gifted it to his daughter, Josephine. Lau reportedly bought another diamond one day earlier for $28.5 million: a pick diamond that he named, "Sweet Josephine." (Refinery29)

By the way, the premiere one day show runs noon to five and tickets are just $5.
