World Breastfeeding Week Celebrated In Yakima Valley

World Breastfeeding Week is set for August 1-7 and the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is celebrating the week with a series of events. The Clinic is sponsoring “The Big Latch On” events throughout the Yakima Valley, Friday, August 3 and Saturday, August 4.

The events will take place at the following locations:

All are welcome to celebrate community breastfeeding support with food, door prizes, and family friendly activities. At 10:30 a.m. we will join the international community by joining in on The Big Latch.

The Global Big Latch On takes place at registered locations around the world, where women gather together to breastfeed and offer peer support to each other. Their friends, family and community join this celebration to promote and support breastfeeding. Volunteers from within the community host each location.
