Workers Looking At Layoffs From Hostess

The folks who make Twinkies and cupcakes could be losing their jobs. Hostess is warning that 250 employees in Washington state, including Yakima, could be out of a job in 60 days. The company is now in Chapter 11 bankruptcy and trying to get back on its feet by renegotiating contracts with unions. Among the areas of the state that could be affected are Seattle, with 111 Hostess employees and Lakewood, with 53 employees. Other smaller layoffs could happen in cities like Yakima.
