SEATTLE (AP) — Two more of the workers injured in an explosion at a hydroelectric dam in central Washington have been released from the hospital.
A spokeswoman for Harborview Medical Center in Seattle said Sunday that three workers remain hospitalized.
One was upgraded from critical to serious condition in the intensive care unit. The others remain in critical and satisfactory condition, respectively.
The explosion on Thursday injured six workers. None have been publicly identified.
A Grant County Public Utility District official has said an electrical equipment malfunction caused the explosion at a hydroelectric dam near Mattawa. The injured workers were described as power plant electricians and operators whose primary duties are to work on equipment at the dam.
