It's all about the congressional dining hall and brunch!

The current congress of America is home to 90 elected female Senators and Representatives and that is a new record.In Washington’s 4th Congressional District we had a chance to elect a woman.  State Senator Janea Holmquist-Newberry would have made an excellent congresswoman.  I’m sure the man we did elect, U.S.  Representative Dan Newhouse will do an outstanding job, but some new analysis suggest the fairer sex may get more done.

A new review from the startup Quorum, which analyzes congressional relationships and policy

making, found that over the last seven years, women in Congress have been more likely to work with women in the opposite party and more likely to see their bills passed compared to the male lawmakers.

In the Senate, the average female senator co-sponsored 6.29 bills with another female senator, while the average male senator co-sponsored 4.07 bills with another man. Women were also more likely to introduce more bills, get them out of committee, attract more co-sponsors and see their bills passed.

The results weren't the same in the House, although Quorum did find that female members co-sponsor legislation with each other, both within and outside of their party, more often than men. Quorum co-founder Alex Wirth told Mashable that female senators may get more done because they have a, quote, "strong network of bipartisanship" from regular meetings and dinners.
