Woman Jailed After Attempted Kidnapping Saturday

Yakima Police say a 23-year-old woman described as homeless is in the Yakima county jail Monday on a charge of attempted kidnapping. Police say the 27-year-old father and his girlfriend were dancing at the Cinco De Mayo Festival on Yakima Avenue Saturday when the suspect walked into the dance area and grabbed the child and ran off. The father, his girlfriend and his sister caught the woman and took back the girl who was upset but Ok. The 23-year-old woman was arrested on a charge of attempted kidnapping.
