Woman Dies In Mobile Home Fire In Yakima Wednesday

A Yakima woman who died in a mobile home fire on Wednesday night has been identified at 78-year-old Marylyn Ray Lundsford. Yakima Fire Department Capt. Jeff Pfaff says investigators are at the scene Today searching for a cause of the mobile home fire at the Broadmoore Mobile Park at 55 West Washington Avenue.

Yakima Fire Department investigators will search for a cause of a fatal fire Fire reported Wednesday at the Broadmoor Mobile Home Park at 55 West Washington Avenue. When firefighters arrived at about 10:20 p.m. they found an elderly woman dead inside her home. A news release from the fire department says "the heat of the fire hampered efforts to enter the house immediately to search for a suspected trapped victim."
The victim hasn't been identified.
Damage is estimated at $50,000. The woman's home was destroyed. The cause remains under investigation however firefighters have ruled out arson as the cause.
