Woman Dies From Drug Overdose

Police are investigating the Friday night death of a 25-year-old Yakima woman.

Yakima police and fire departments were called to a house on the 2000 block of Swan Avenue KNDO reports.

They found an unresponsive woman with a 54-year-old man.

She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police said the man gave the woman drugs, and she became unresponsive shortly after ingesting them.

The man was booked in the Yakima County Jail for investigation of controlled substance homicide
