Woman Dies After Yakima Apartment Fire

The Yakima Fire Department says a woman has died from her injuries after an apartment fire last Friday afternoon.
The fire started around 1 p.m. Friday at the Mesa Apartments on Gordon Road. Three people were rescued from the burning building, and at least five units were damaged in the blaze.

One of the victims, a 46-year-old woman, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where the King County coroner says she died Sunday from her injuries. Fire investigators are still working and there's still no word how the fire started. The investigation continues today.

The name of the woman who died has not been released.
