Bail has been set at $50,000 for a 34-year-old woman arrested for stealing purses from people at a number of Yakima businesses. Police spokesman Mike Bastinelli says the suspect, identified as Reylinda Alvarado faces nearly 40 charges of of possession of stolen property and identification theft.  He says she was recorded on video at the Fred Meyer store in Yakima earlier this month. "A woman was shopping in the produce area and she walked up and grabbed the woman's purse walked into a bathroom and took credit cards and other things out of the woman's purse." Bastinelli says they believe the woman stole purses from a number of different stores in the Yakima. Alvarez faces theft charges in Yakima County Superior Court this week. She's being held in the Yakima County jail.
