Winter Advisory Issued By National Weather Service

It's time to shovel that snow as the snow continues to fall in the Yakima area Monday. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Yakima area. It is in effect today, Monday, February 4th, through 4:00 am tomorrow, Tuesday, February 5th.

Officials say they expect total snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches due to a low pressure system.

The City of Yakima urges residents to use caution when driving during the weather advisory and to limit travel if possible. The NWS advises drivers to anticipate slippery road conditions and limited visibility at times.
