The talents of local artists will once again be on public display in many of the empty storefronts in Downtown Yakima this Friday, April 6th.

The project is called “Windows Alive! and according to a Yakima News Release the idea to harness the creativity of Central Washington artists to add to the vibrancy of Downtown Yakima.

This latest exhibit begins at 5:30 pm on First Friday, April 6th.  Artwork produced by John T. Bissonette, Janet Buege, Kristi Donahue, Scott and Robin Mayberry and Steven Platt will be displayed in storefront windows located along the north side of Yakima Avenue between 3rd Street and 4th Street.The City of Yakima’s Public Works Department will also have a “Windows Alive!” display, an exhibit featuring the process it uses to wrap art around traffic signal boxes.

The new Windows Alive! exhibits are scheduled to be on display through Friday, September 14th.
