So, you went and bought yourself a Powerball lottery ticket. You never buy lottery tickets, but with so much money at steak, it's a two dollar investment you'll try your luck at. Now you ask yourself, "when do I find out what the winning numbers are?" Here's how to find out.

The number are drawn and announced at 8:00 p.m. (11:00 pm east coast time) Wednesday and Saturday nights. They will also have the numbers available through their website here. Once they've been announced, that scan code at the bottom of the ticket is used so you may go to any lottery retailer and scan it yourself to see if it's a winner.
