What is This!? Amazon Opens Book Store?

SEATTLE (AP) — As Amazon.com grew from being an online bookseller to an Internet behemoth, more than a few book stores, big and small, ended up being shuttered. So it might come as a surprise to hear what Amazon has done. It has opened a brick-and-mortar bookstore. Amazon Books is located in Seattle — and is an extension of the company website — in that it combines the benefits of online pricing with traditional book shopping. Amazon didn't explain why it was opening a regular retail outlet — or say if there are plans for others.
