Parents had this one figured out long ago and in my opinion it really is too bad. so in addition to not talking to their parents, today's kids don't even talk to each other!

A new study has found that most teens prefer to text than to have a face-to-face conversation.   Yup, according to a survey done by Common Sense, 35% teens say their favorite mode of communication is texting. I guess they high five, elbow each other and laugh by emoji now?  Will those friendship stand the test of time or just until the batteries run out?

Time magazine reports that less that one third said they preferred talking face-to-face .As the Wicked Witch of the West said on her way out , "what a world, what a world."

Meanwhile, 16% of teens said social media and 10% preferred video chatting.

The survey was based on responses from 1,141 13- to 17-year-olds.  (Time)

Sheesh.
