Wednesday is being called the National Day of Action to push for a $15 minimum wage in Washington state.

Rallies, organized by the group Working Washington, are planned in Yakima and across the state, including a large rally in Seattle. Organizers say the rallies are meant to send the message that "$15 is just the beginning. Inequality ends with us."

The Yakima rally starts at 9 a.m. in front of the McDonald's on Yakima Avenue. Then people will board buses to a larger rally in Seattle planned for Wednesday afternoon.
