Despite the inclement weather, a crowd of hundreds gathered on the steps of the Washington State Capitol Building Tuesday for the annual March For Life.

A slushy mixture of snow and rain fell Anti-Abortion supporters in Olympia Tuesday, but nothing could dampen the crowd's lively spirit.

Pro-Life supporters turned out in masses to voice their opposition to Senate Bill 6185, which would require all insurance companies in Washington State to cover abortions. Among those in the crowd was Spokane Valley Senator Mike Padden, a Republican and avid Pro-Life supporter.  He says it seems like every year there’s what he feels is yet another attack on the value of human life, and it takes the collective voices of these supporters to fight back…Padden added that it's unfortunate the poor weather forced the closure of Snoqualmie Pass across the Cascade Mountains…otherwise, he says, there would have likely been thousands in attendance.

Senate Bill 6185 - and its companion, House Bill 2330 - will receive public hearings Thursday in the House and Senate health care committees.
