A fantastic location, great music, a wide variety of foods, very cooperative weather, and a happy crowd all contributed to making the 2014 Bite of Yakima a huge success!

The event took place Saturday at the Yakima Area Arboretum, drawing a large crowd. The weather was mild, with temperatures in the upper 70s under partly cloudy skies.

Attendees were treated to superb music all day, beginning with the Yakima Opera Company, then shifting to the pop-rock sound of 3rd Date, Latin fusion from Avion, and country-rock from One2Many on the Fiesta Foods stage.

More than 20 restaurants and vendors supplied food samples of various cuisines, including barbecue, Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, American and more. Several dessert vendors provided samples of sweet treats, while the Yakima Elks Lodge sponsored an adult beverage garden.

The Arboretum provided the beautiful venue and also hosted a popular nature-based children's activities area.

The 2014 bite of Yakima was sponsored by Steve Hahn VW/KIA/Mercedes-Benz and brought to you by Townsquare Media.
