Are you mad, bro? Trash-talking Seahawk’s cornerback Richard Sherman first asked the annoying question of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady on Oct. 14, 2012, following a Seahawk come-from-behind win: “You mad, bro?” The phrase took on a life of its own and it certainly seems on point as 2016 gets underway. If “You mad bro?” is the question, then the answer, according to a new NBC News/SurveyMonkey/Esquire online poll, is YES!

The poll finds that 61 percent of Republicans find themselves feeling more angry about current events or the news than they did one year ago. The same thing was true for 42 percent of Democrats.

More than three-quarters of Republicans (77 percent) said they now get angry at least once a day, while 67 percent of Democrats agree.

Pollsters also found that white Americans are angrier than African-Americans or Latinos.
