The heavily traveled South 16th Avenue will have a few more delays on Tuesday as the city will restrict traffic in the northbound direction to one lane.

The lane closure is due to water service repairs by the city. The work will begin at 6 a.m. and continue until approximately 3:30 p.m.

The city is warning of longer delays on 16th between Nob Hill Boulevard and Prasch Avenue, where the work will be occurring.

The city also announced the roads that will be affected by the summer-long grind-and-overlay project.

The following roads will see lane closures during the day throughout the week between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • Lincoln Avenue between First Street and 10th Street
  • MLK, Jr. Boulevard between First Avenue and Pierce Avenue
  • Mead Avenue between 11th Avenue and Fair Avenue
  • Washington Avenue between 15th Avenue and First Street
  • Sixth Street between Pacific Avenue and Lincoln Avenue
  • Third Avenue between Yakima Avenue and D Street
  • Fourth Avenue between Yakima Avenue and Lincoln Avenue
  • Fifth Avenue between Walnut Street and Yakima Avenue.

There also will be several road closures overnight during the week. The closures will start at 7 p.m. and continue until about 6 a.m. on the following roads:

  • Fifth Avenue from Walnut Street to Yakima Avenue
  • Fourth Avenue from Yakima Avenue to Lincoln Avenue
  • Third Avenue from Yakima Avenue to D Street
  • Sixth Street from Lincoln Avenue to Pacific Avenue
  • Lincoln Avenue from Oregon Avenue to First Avenue
  • MLK, Jr. Boulevard from Pierce Street to First Avenue
  • Pierce Avenue from Summitview Avenue to Lincoln Avenue
  • Lincoln Avenue from First Street to 10th Street
  • MLK, Jr. Boulevard from First Street to Eighth Street
  • Walnut Street from First Street to Eighth Avenue
  • Mead Avenue from 11th Avenue to Fair Avenue
