Water Repairs Mean Restricted Lane On West Washington Avenue Starting Tuesday

Your Tuesday commute could be impacted by some water service repairs on a portion of West Washington Avenue starting Tuesday, April 18^th through Friday, April 21^st.  Repair hours will be from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm each day until the project is completed. Yakima city officials say Eastbound and westbound traffic on Washington Avenue between South 24^th Avenue and South 40^th Avenue will be restricted to one lane in each direction while the project is underway.  Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related works zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

Access to homes and businesses in the project area will be maintained as best as possible and emergency vehicles will be allowed through the project area if necessary.
