They like you, they really like you - world's most admired!

Scan the landscape? Who's out there that you can say you truly admire, you know, for whom you have "respect with warm regards"? Outside of the Morning News crew of Jackson, Dave and Lance of course!

The pickings are pretty slim these days but YouGov did manage to compile its 3rd annual "most admired people in the world" list consisting of the top 20 men and top 20 women.

Topping the lists once again are Microsoft's Bill Gates and Hollywood & Humanity's Angelina Jolie. The study entailed compiling the interviews of more than 37,000 people in 35 countries.

Following Gates & Jolie were the former president and first lady Barack and Michelle Obama.

Fourteen of the top twenty on the female list are entertainers including Oprah, Taylor Swift and Madonna. (HUH?) The men's list includes entertainers as well -Jackie Chan is number three- but it also includes, politicians, athletes and businessmen. His Holiness Pope Francis came in at number 16 followed closely by President Donald Trump at 17. (Hmmm)

The study itself was conducted through online interviews. Survey participants were asked whether they admired the public personality, and then whether a certain figure was the person they appreciated the most.
