Wapato Police Still Looking For Suspects In Friday Shooting

Detectives with the Wapato Police Department were busy over the weekend looking for a killer or killers. A shooting in downtown Wapato Friday afternoon shut down roads and put area schools on lock down. One person died and another was wounded It happened at about 1:00 p.m. Friday at the intersection of West First Street and South Naches Avenue.
One person who was shot and survived is being treated at a Seattle hospital Today. The other died at the scene. The suspects apparently ran away after the shooting. No arrest have yet been made and no identities were released.
